Listen to KPOV on your iPhone

It’s now easier than ever to listen to 106.7 KPOV with a new application that streams Bend Community Radio to your iPhone or iPod.

KPOV is excited to be able to offer one more way of listening to your community radio station.  Since KPOV is a low power radio station, it can be hard to get reception in some parts of Bend.  Now with the new iPhone App you can listen to KPOV on your phone. This application is free and allows users to access Bend Community Radio through a radio tuner modeled after many other online Internet Radio stream directories.

The App appears at http://itunes.com/apps/KPOVPlayer

If you have trouble with the link try searching for KPOV directly from iTunes!

KPOV Awarded $112,000 Federal Matching Grant for Full Power Radio

FCC Also Approves New Location for Transmitter to Better Serve Region

106.7 KPOV, Bend Community Radio, has been awarded a $112,000 federal matching grant for the station’s expansion from low power to full power broadcasting in 2011, and has received approval for a new transmitter location that will better serve the region.

Full power broadcasting will dramatically increase the reach of KPOV to Central Oregon listeners well beyond Bend. The $112,000 matching grant from the Public Telecommunications Facilities Program (PTFP), a program of the US Department of Commerce, is half the cost of building the new full power station; the other half must be raised from local supporters.

Vehicle Donations to Support KPOV

If you have an unwanted vehicle that needs a new home, and you love community radio, then we have the solution for you.

KPOV has teamed up with the Center for Car Donations to provide a way that
supporters can donate an unwanted vehicle, raise funds for Bend Community
Radio, and get a tax receipt for their donation.

It's simple too. All you have to do is call 877-411-DONATE, and we'll come and pick up your vehicle and give you a tax receipt for your donation.

Tax receipts are for the year in which the car was donated.  Donations can be made any time. More
information is available by calling 877-411-DONATE.
