We invite your business or organization to be a part of Bend's exciting new community radio station through underwriting. Underwriting is an on-the-air statement of support for KPOV. It is a great way to financially support KPOV and to get your business’ name heard by KPOV listeners. KPOV is Bend’s only local, non-profit, non-commercial radio station. Our mission is to educate, entertain and involve the Bend community by giving voice to diverse cultures and viewpoints through high quality, low-power radio. KPOV is heard only in Bend. It’s about Bend and for Bend. When you buy underwriting at KPOV, we will acknowledge your support with a pre-recorded on-air message. If you have ever listened to NPR, OPB, KLCC or other public radio stations, then you have heard underwriting messages. They describe the products and services that a business or organization offers to the community. They also tell listeners that a business or organization cares deeply about the community because it supports a radio station that serves the needs of the community. Underwriting at KPOV is a very effective and low cost alternative to commercial radio advertising. The content of underwriting is regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC.) We will work with you to develop a great script for your on-air announcements that will meet your needs and adhere to FCC rules.
