Playing for Change - Peace Through Music

Film Debut - Thursday March 11 at Bend’s Domino Room
“Playing for Change: Peace Through Music”—a film that brings together musicians, singers, and audiences around the world—will be shown for the first time in Oregon at 6:30 pm and 8:30pm Thursday, March 11, at the Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Avenue, in Bend. The film will benefit  KPOV.

Don't miss Dawn Newton's one-on-one exclusive interview with bestselling author of Three Cups of Tea & Stones into Schools, Greg Mortenson. Also, Kyle Will, Personal Trainer/Owner of WRP Studios will be here to talk about Kids & Exercise..fighting obesity in our youth.

Citizen Alert - Thursday, February 18, 5-6 pm

Host Tristan Reisfar will have interviews with gubernatorial candidate, Allen Alley and also T.J. Spear, candidate for Deschutes County Circuit Court Judge.

 

Right Here, Right Now - Friday, February 19, 5-6 pm

Right Here, Right Now will feature a panel discussion on hunger and food security in Deschutes County. Community panelists in the hour long discussion on hunger are Taffy Gleason, Executive Director of Bend’s Community Center; Lyle Hicks, owner of Jake’s Diner; Sydney Leonard, Community Food Systems Coordinator with Wy’East Resource, Conservation and Development; Glenda Hyde, instructor in the Family and Community Health Department, Oregon State University Extension Service; and Kiecha Kisler, a job trainee in the COIC Jobs Plus Program.

 

Homelessness Marathon - Tuesday, February 23, 10 pm to 6am

We will be broadcasting the 13th annual Homelessness Marathon, featuring the voices and stories of homeless people across the U.S. The marathon provides a national toll-free number for live call-ins during the broadcast.
